What is The Junoesque?

The Junoesque will be a meeting place for all the Junoesque ladies of the world. Ladies of imposing height and beauty. Yes, tall is beautiful no matter what anyone says. This will be a place of refuge from the stares, the gawking, and the endless asinine comments. Because no one can really understand what it’s like unless they’ve been there. Me and my sister are 6’3″ and 6’4″ respectively. That is a foot taller than the “average woman”. So needless to say, we’ve been there.

We decided to start The Junoesque to share our personal experiences being “the tall girls”. We will share what we’ve learned along the way, things we wish we knew when we were growing up, stories we’re sure you all out there can relate to.  We want our readers to know that we Junoesque are a rare breed, above above average. We are not alone, and we should never ever feel sorry for ourselves. Did you know that women over 5’10” only make up 1% of the U.S. female population. Let me put it this way, 99% of U.S. women are shorter than you. You are not like everyone else. Isn’t that something to be proud of? Embrace your tallness. Embrace YOU!

All of my social media links are on the sidebar to the right. I’m on Pinterest, Facebook, Bloglovin, Twitter and now Instagram!

P.S. Could you take a minute to complete this survey? I want to continue to make the blog better for you and I can’t do that without your feedback. Thanks in advance!

  2. Right on, sisters. I’m 6’2″ and proud of it (though it took me a while to get there!). My last blog post is about being tall and awesome, because I think it’s ace to be a little bit different. Keep it up 🙂

  3. Just stopping by to say that I really enjoy your site. I am only 5’8″ but I have the foot size of someone much taller…size 13. Plus my 11-year daughter is already 5’10 and wears a size 12 shoe. I am pretty sure she will end up being at least 6 feet by the time she finishes growing, so I will definitely be following the site and have added it to my blogroll.

Keep up the good work and take care!

    • Hi Wendy,
Thanks so much. I really glad you like it.

I know how your daughter feels; I was 6 feet tall when I was 10 and wore a size 12. Hopefully the blog will help her as she grows into her own. 🙂

      Thank you,

  6. Just found this site, I’m 16 and I’ve been 6.1ft(and a bit) since I was 13 which has been anything but easy, so finding this site is something that is helping me like my height a bit more, thank you!
