My orders from ASOS and Modcloth arrived last week and I thought I’d share them with you all.
From ASOS I got the ASOS Curve Body-Con dress in midi length with sleeve. I ordered it in teal and in a size 14. It fits really well though it is a tad too big under arms. I have to say I’m glad I got the 14. It might have been too tight with the 12. It is made out of stretch cotton jersey so it is soft and comfortable. You can wear it all day with no problems. I also love the color. I am trying to wear colors that are out of my usual comfort zone and this color suits me I think. I think it goes well with my skin tone. The dress is listed as 45″ long and it hits right under my knee.
Being body-con, this dress is very clingy and form-fitting so forgive my stomach pooch. (I really have to start exercising more regularly.) I am also looking a little lumpy and bumpy so I’m gonna need to wear some spanx or a corset or something with this dress.
In the pictures, I am wearing another piece from my haul, the Flora All Time Belt from Modcloth. I actually bought the belt especially to go with this dress. I’ve had my eye on this belt for years and I finally got it. Simply put this belt is gorgeous. From the website: “wide, vegan faux leather band with elasticized back and a gorgeous clasp flower that splits neatly in two.” This clasp is sculptural and architectural. The belt is well made and as I thought, looks great with the dress. The brown and gold of the belt complement the color of the dress well.
I also got the Not a Moment to Waist skirt in Noir. I ordered an XL because I knew it was going to be form fitting but the skirt is still a little too tight so I am sending it back to exchange for a bigger size. Hopefully the 2x will fit better. If I can’t get the larger size it would be sad because I really liked the braces the skirt came with. They added a quirky edge that I liked. One downside was the skirt was a little shorter than I expected, coming above my knee.
So that is the end of my haul. I hope you liked it.
Until next time,
