Pinterest Picks of the Week

Time again for my Pinterest Picks of the Week. I pinned a lot of recipes this week (trying to eat healthier) and hair and style pictures. Ok here we go.

This is Laila-Jean from FusionofCultures on Youtube. I love her hair, style and her accent is so cute! I hope one day to have hair as long as hers.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 9.17.56 AMI love hush puppies, in fact my coworkers and I were talking about opening up a hush puppy food truck just a couple of days ago. I am used to the original hush puppies made with cornmeal and deep fried, eating them with steamed shrimp and crab. Adding crab to the hush puppy is inventive and I have to try to make it. I also saw a similar recipe but you bake them instead of frying them, a healthier alternative that I will have to try as well.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 9.20.12 AMThis is a Stop Staring! brand dress from Modcloth. It is a lace-patterned “wiggle” dress with a sweetheart neckline. It is listed as 45″ long for a size L which is knee-length on me. It is on the expensive side but very cute.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 9.17.31 AMI love this outfit. It marries two current trends: floral and mustard skinny jeans. Very simple and understated but chic. I really, really want some mustard colored skinny jeans but I can’t seem to find any that are long enough for me. If you happen to find some, let me know.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 9.17.43 AMI love Pinterest and it’s wide selection of recipes and DIY tutorials. This is one to make your own applesauce and you can even add other fruits like strawberries and blueberries. I like making my own food because you know exactly what you are putting in it.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 9.20.24 AMI’m really into scarves now especially infinity ones. I love the color combo and the stripes. I’m a sucker for stripes.

Screen shot 2013-04-20 at 11.26.52 AMI was talking to friends over dinner last week and one started talking about kale chips. Usually I’m like “Ugh, kale.” but she started talking about how you cook them. You can bake them and sprinkle oil and salt on them and apparently it’s delicious. I was intrigued so I decided to look up the recipe. I’m really looking forward to trying this.

That’s it for this week’s picks. As always, stay tuned for next week’s and you can always pin with me at Pinterest.com/TheJunoesque.

Happy Pinning,
