Pinterest Picks of the Week

Here are this week’s Pinterest Picks. This week I pinned a lot of home decor/organization stuff. The stuff I have accumulated over the last 10 years (especially clothes and shoes) is seriously taking over my bedroom so some serious purging is in order. I still have papers from high school that are buried in the mess that I have to get rid of. I have a couple ideas on how to reorganize and once I actually go through it all, maybe I’ll put it on the blog. On to the pins.

The major problem area in my room is my closet. I have more clothes and shoes than my poor little closet can handle. I plan to get 2 tall bookcases one for my books and the other for my shoes. I like the idea of adding the rods so I have somewhere to store the overflow from my closet.

This is the Jacobethan dress from Shabby Apple. It is a wrap jersey dress. It is most likely not long enough to be called a true maxi on women who are as tall as me, but I am really drawn to the stripes and the color gray. Call it a weakness.

I love the color. I really want to color my hair too; I’m thinking a deep navy blue. But I am concerned about it drying my hair out. My hair is dry naturally so adding a dye might compound the issue and cause damage and fall out. So I’m going to work on regulating the moisture of my hair before I think about adding dye. I can still look at pretty pictures like this and dream though…

This is one Barefoot Tess’s new arrivals, the Lunna Cap Toe Loafer by DV by Dolce Vita. They marry two of the current trends: loafers and cap-toes. I’m usually not into loafers, but I think these are pretty cool. The Lunna Loafer goes up to a size 13.

I originally thought this would be perfect to store my shoes. But my realist part of me set in and realized that I have more shoes than this and I’m pretty sure that my shoes wouldn’t fit in this thing as my feet are twice the size of the average female’s. Plus it is a tad expensive. So I will stick to my bookcases. It’s still pretty cool though.

I also pinned a lot recipes this week. This. as you can see, is for veggie potstickers. I really want to try this but with veggies like carrots or cabbage and without tofu. Not a big fan of tofu.
