Pinterest Picks-11/18

It’s been a while since I did one of these so I figured it was time again for another edition of Pinterest Picks. These are a collection of picks from the last several weeks which includes of a lot of HOT shoes for us ladies with above average feet, some natural hair pics, and a few other fashion finds.

Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.12.14 PMI am so obsessed with these shoes. These are a 4.5″ faux wood wedge with black and cognac suede and they go up to a size 13.

As you scroll down, you will see that I spotted a number of shoe lovelies on Torrid.com and these are only a few out of the many that Torrid has. I have been wanting to try out Torrid’s shoes for a while now because they are stylish, trendy, wide width and go up to a size 13. The best part: right now, right this very second, Torrid is having a BOGO 50% off everything sale. So this was perfect opportunity to give Torrid a try. Stay tuned for the review.

Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.12.32 PMThese were the second pair I ordered for my Torrid BOGO adventure. I love the laser cut outs, the chunky heel and the faux suede. This particular color only goes up to a 12, but the purple goes up to a 13. I decided to be adventurous and try the black ones in a 12 since they are wide width and open toed. I will let you know how this goes. Fingers crossed.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.12.41 PMSee? Torrid has many trendy options for the big-footed gal. I think these are really cool. I like the menswear-inspired look but these boots are still undoubtedly feminine. I love the chunky heel and these boots look warm and durable for the winter months.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.12.56 PMI love to see women with natural hair similar to mine. It does a heart good.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.13.16 PMCan you tell I really like chunky heels? You all should know by now how obsessed I am. Anyway, these particular boots are from Barefoot Tess. They also come in Black (with cognac straps) and go up to a size 14.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.13.27 PMThis is Lupita Nyong’o and I think she is SO beautiful I can’t stand it. Her hair, her skin, her smile. She is so gorgeous. Lupita is originally from Kenya and is currently receiving rave reviews for her performance in 12 Years a Slave opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor. I’m expecting big things to come from this one.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.13.41 PMThis is such a cool idea! It is a great decorating idea for winter weddings or even holiday parties.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.13.57 PMI love the print on this sweater from Long Tall Sally. It is a perfect way to look cute but still stay warm and cozy in the cold weather.Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.14.59 PMI first discovered this site a couple weeks ago and forgot about it until I was going through my pins to choose my picks. I have been trying to branch out and wear more statement necklaces and this one would a perfect way to jazz up my jewelry collection. Unfortunately, the aqua color is sold out but it comes in other colors including maroon.

Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.18.10 PMThis tall-sized trench from The Gap would be perfect for the windy fall days. It goes up to a size L. If you like it, get it now because The Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic are having a 35% off online sale that ends tomorrow (Tues., Nov. 19).

Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.15.10 PMYet another gorgeous ASOS dress. This navy blue midi dress has a faux leather belt and plunging V back. If you look closely there is also a very nice seam detail throughout the dress. It goes up to size 14 and is listed as being 43″ on a size 4.

Screen shot 2013-11-18 at 7.27.26 PMAnother DIY project to try for the future. I very much enjoy the nice, creative personal touches you can use to decorate a house and make it a home.
