This haul is way overdue. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I bought this stuff weeks ago. I know. I know. But better late than never right? I’ve worn these pieces over and over and I thought I should share them with you all to let you know that there are places where us junoesque ladies can shop.
I bought the Women’s Zip Front Military Jacket, the Graphic Crew Neck Sweater in Fox, Lightweight sweater Scarf in Heather Gray, Waffle Knit Tee in Sea Salt and the Terry Fleece Raglan top in Marshmallow White. I ordered all the sweaters in a L Tall, the jacket in a XL Tall. Old Navy is having an online sale now; 30% off everything and it ends Monday Nov 11.
I needed a jacket to wear when it was too cold to go without one but not cold enough to wear my heavy winter coat. And as you know I am kinda obsessed with the military trend so I just had to get this jacket. It is a tan color with a couple military-esque patches on it. The sleeve length is perfect; not too short like most jackets fit on me. The bottom of the jacket stops underneath my behind. This military jacket is great for 65 degree weather not for the 40-50 degree weather we’ve been getting lately. But if I layer it with a hoodie, it’s great. Perfect quick fix. A feature I really like about this jacket is the hidden drawstring waist so it is not just another boxy jacket. I get to show off my shape and be kept warm. (Win Win) One thing I’m not entirely happy with is the pockets. They are nice and deep and they snap closed so my phone and money and etc are kept safe but they open from the top not from the sides so it is a little awkward to keep your hands in when you walk. Just me being nitpicky.
I also needed some sweaters because of the distinct lack of sweaters in my wardrobe. Like I said it’s been cold here, so I can’t go out in t-shirts and such. I saw the fox sweater on the the Old Navy site and I had to have it. I was immediately drawn to it mostly because of the glasses. Whenever I wear it I like to say that I’m a fox with glasses lol. This sweater is made out of a very soft, non-itchy material. The first time I wore it, I got a ton of compliments. I wore it with my black high waisted jeans and my Hunger Games boots. This sweater comes in a number of different colors and animals. I think white one with the blue bird is my next purchase. The sleeve length is great. And it is just the right length in the torso.
I like to call the Terry Fleece Raglan top my “Hello There” sweatshirt. It is a definitely a conversation starter. Like with my other Old Navy Tall purchases, the sleeves are long enough for me and it is long enough in the torso, but the problem is the hem rides up at times so I am always pulling on it throughout the day. I just make sure I wear a shirt underneath so I am not showing too much skin. It is really comfortable. The fit is a bit roomy for me.
The Waffle knit tee is a basic shirt and it reminds me of a “long john” type shirt which I was not expecting. The upside is that the sleeves and the torso are the right length and I could always layer another tee on top.
I also got a scarf which you can see in the pics. Perfect to wrap up my hair when I am having a bad hair day, protecting my hair from the cold, or in the middle of a twist out (which is the case here). Just as the name suggests, it is a not a heavy scarf and it is stretchy which makes it great to use for my head.
Ta Ta For Now,
Elayna
