A little late, I know, but here are my favorites for the month of March.

Sally Hansen Big Matte Topcoat
Sally Hansen Big Matte topcoat. You have already seen my review of this and I’ve continued to use it since then. My favorite combination so far is the topcoat with Butter London Royal Navy.
Shrek the Musical. When my sister was home a couple of weeks ago, she introduced me to this fantastic show and since then I have been listening to the soundtrack over and over. Brian D’arcy James, who plays Shrek, has an absolutely amazing voice. The show itself is good. It is funny and very entertaining and stays pretty true to the original.
Darcy’s Botanicals Avocado & Honey twisting cream. If you remember, I said a while ago that I bought this and the Camille Rose Naturals a couple of months ago to replace my former twisting staple, MyHoneyChild Type 4 Hair Creme. After trying both a couple of times, I have to say I much prefer the Darcy’s Botanicals. It provides a stronger hold and more curl definition than the CRN and it keeps my hair pretty moisturized. I have found that after a couple of days, the CRN gets a lot frizzier and I have less and less curl definition. That is not the case with the Darcy’s Botanicals. I love it!
ASOS Midi Skirt in Abstract Print. I said in my Pinterest Picks, how when I saw this skirt and I had to have it. Well, I’ve this skirt for a couple of weeks now and I love it. The pattern is so gorgeous and striking. I don’t have anything like it in my closet. I ordered a size 12 and it fits great and the hits about mid calf. I love the a-line hem. Very flattering. Sizes are running out in this color but it also comes in yellow/pink.
Burnt Sugar Pomade. I bought the $4 sample of this from Oyin’s website last year and I used it once and didn’t really like it. So it’s been sitting in my stash for months unused and I recently decided to try it again and I’m liking it pretty well. Before, I would put the pomade on the ends of my twists when they were still wet and when they dried, my ends ended up being really dry and crispy. I assume it was not mixing well with the twisting cream I was using at the time. But now, I wait until the next day, when my twists have already dried, to add a little to my ends and twirl the hair around my fingers. I think it has helped my ends keep the curl.
Music I’ve been listening to:
Who I’d Be, Big Bright Beautiful World (reprise) and Build a Wall from the Shrek the Musical Soundtrack
Say Something cover by Pentatonix
Until next time,
