A couple of months ago, I posted about the time I had brunch with The Tall Muse and Tallook and how much fun I had. We talked then about doing another meetup and guess what…we finally did! Not only that, but we invited other tall ladies in the area to join us!

On Saturday April 25, we all met up at a restaurant near Eastern Market on what is called Barrack’s Row in Southeast DC. There were about 10 of us total including Helen Pappas, founder and owner of Talltique and fellow blogger Fifi from Fai’s Closet. Our heights ranged from 5’10” to 6’6″; it was so great to be in the company of such tall beautiful women.

The group talked about our experiences being tall. We talked about the bad pick up lines and where to find clothes, but we also networked; trading business cards and Instagram usernames.

Everyone who attended were given gift bags full of swag. Our sponsors Talltique, Smash Shoes, Long Tall Sally, Order Your Steps and LaKayeMbah Photography were gracious enough to donate branded merchandise like tote bags and compacts as well as coupons.

We also had a number of door prizes. Shoes of Prey donated a $50 gift coupon that was awarded to one lucky winner. It is perfect timing for her since Shoes of Prey just launched at the Nordstrom in Pentagon City. She can actually go in to the store and design her perfect shoe, up to a size 15 I might add.

I also donated 2 of my giraffe prints (as seen above) and Tallook donated a light switch plate, handmade jewelry and a handbag.

The first ever Leggy Luncheon was a huge success. We all had so much fun. A big thank you goes out to our sponsors and attendees. Tall Muse, Tallook and I are definitely are doing to do another one. I hope to see you there so stay tuned for more info!
